Sara Diaz, LCSW is a First Gen Coach and Workshop Facilitator. She is the Founder and CEO of The First Gen Madrina and Co-Founder of Diary of the First Gen Journey Podcast and Consulting Company. Sara has a passion for working with first generation individuals as well as educating the community on mental health. She has experience in child welfare, higher education, and the non-profit sector. She has facilitated workshops for many organizations on topics such as transitioning to college, managing your mental health and navigating the first gen experience. Sara has also consulted on leadership development curriculums that are geared toward first generation college students. She has trained and supervised social workers in utilizing culturally responsive approaches when working with the Latinx community.
Sara has a Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Her mission is to educate and empower the first-generation community as well as providing resources to get connected! |
