Jasmine Travers
Dr. Jasmine L. Travers, an assistant professor at NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing, is a leading nurse-scientist advancing research and policy to transform long-term care and reshape the way we think about aging. She focuses on nursing home research, long-term services and supports (LTSS), and workforce issues. As a member of the National Academies’ Committee on Nursing Home Quality, her work contributed to the first proposed minimum staffing standards. She also played a key role in developing AARP’s LTSS State Scorecard on equity. Her Congressional testimonies on COVID-19’s impact and workforce challenges have shaped federal and state actions. Her work continues to drive policies that improve how we age, enhance workforce conditions, and ensure safer nursing homes.
