Hi friend!
In early 2016, I was sitting up late in my Brooklyn apartment, scrolling through my inbox. I came upon a Leadership Summit and was curious who the speakers were. As I scrolled down, I found a very clear pattern. Of the 25 speakers, only ONE was a woman. Of the 24 men, only 2 were men of color.
And then I HAD AN IDEA! #welcometomyTEDtalk
That was the moment that I decided to do something about it and was the impetus of the first FEARLESS FORCE: Public Speaking for Visionary Women Leaders program in May of 2016. In six days, 8 women stepped through what we now call the FEARLESS FIRE and shared an original SIGNATURE TALK. They spoke about everything from empowering young girls in the Dominican Republic, to menstrual equity, to education reform and the delicate dance with grief.
Almost 7 years later over 120 women have participated in this program. We have run the program in New York, San Francisco, Tel Aviv, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and digitally.
On this International Women’s Day I would like to celebrate THEM . . . the extraordinary women who have grappled with the stories they hold, and stepped up on the fearless stage to SPEAK THE TRUTH.
We are so proud of your individual and collective voice on the planet. May it rain elevated sparkleation on you always!
